All bookings are taken on the acceptance and understanding of the following terms and conditions. By confirming booking, you always agree to these terms and conditions.
All quotes provided are free. Quotes are valid for 72 hours, after that time, we cannot guarantee the price will remain as quoted.
We are happy to accept cash and bank transfer. Please note a 50% deposit is required to secure all bookings. The remaining balance is paid on the day of delivery.
In the event you must cancel we ask that you give more than 48 hours’ notice. Unfortunately, if less then we withhold the deposit to cover possible loss of work. This 48-hour notice period can be waived if the horse cannot travel on medical grounds and a vet’s report can be provided stating this.
Once a booking has been secured via payment of the deposit, we will not cancel the booking, except in exceptional circumstances or extreme weather conditions that might pose a danger to travel. We will make every effort to re-arrange travel to a convenient time. We pride ourselves on our reliability and professionalism - you will not be 'bumped' so that we can do another job.
It is a legal requirement for us to have the passport when transporting your horse however long or short the journey is. There are certain exemptions such as emergency veterinary trips etc, but transportation can be refused if the passport is not available, and you may be held liable for the costs involved. Hard copy not photocopy required.
Our insurance does not cover the cost of veterinary treatment for the horse, and this remains your responsibility. We recommend that your horse is suitably insured for illness/injury prior to travel.
In the event of your horse becoming unwell during transport, we will convey them to the nearest veterinarian for treatment. We will make every effort to contact you prior to doing so. Payment of veterinary costs is the responsibility of the owner and will be charged directly to them.
Obviously unwell or lame horses will not be transported unless for veterinary treatment.
Horses are to be loaded and unloaded by their owners onto our transport. Suitable headcollars and lead ropes should be provided by the owner. We are more than happy to assist with tricky loaders but the owner or their representative must be present.
Owners should provide their own hay/haylage in a net for travel. This is to prevent transmission of infectious diseases between horses and ensures your horse has their usual preparation of hay to prevent colic.
Collection and arrival times are estimated to the best of our knowledge. We take no responsibility for delays due to traffic and travel conditions.
Any damage caused to the horsebox by the horse during loading, unloading and travel remains the responsibility of the owner and they will be responsible for all costs. We welcome inspection of our box prior to travel. Horses that present with dangerous behaviour whilst travelling will be returned to their loading point. We reserve the right to refuse travel to any horses who display dangerous behaviour to our horsebox, or any person involved in travel. In such cases we will retain 100% of the payment for failed travel.
We are happy to take things such as tack and rugs etc. These items are not covered by our insurance and travel entirely at the owner’s risk. Owners are responsible for suitable insurance for these items. We reserve no responsibility for these items and are not liable for any damage, losses or costs incurred.
